ABOUT
The City of Lancaster is in the process of updating their comprehensive plan, which was last prepared in 1993. The comprehensive plan will serve as a foundation for decision-making as it relates to future development, with a focus on community outreach to help understand what is most important to the local community. We look forward to the community's participation in the planning process.
WHAT IS A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN?
THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WILL:
-
Identify what's important to our community (such as housing, parks, and transportation).
-
Guide our City's development over the next ten years.

-
Prioritize funding and resources.
PLANNING IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE:
-
Helps us set and achieve our goals.
-
Puts the community's voice into government.
-
Creates space for community discussion.
-
Allows the City to receive and allocate funding.
